The Market is full for 2023! If you are interested in applying to join in 2024, please reach out December-February to apply.

Interested in applying to be a vendor? Here’s what you need to know:

1. We make decisions about the market’s line up every year between February and March. By the time the market opens in May, our roster is finalized. Only in limited cases do we accept new vendors into the market mid-season. To apply, the best time to contact us is January of the year you would like to begin.

2. We only allow agricultural and local food vendors. Craft and other artisan products are not allowed. We unfortunately no longer have space for community and non-profit groups, as we have decided to prioritize supporting our local growers and food producers.

3. All agricultural and food products must be produced in Connecticut (“CT Grown”).

4. We are primarily “producer only,” with only a handful of exceptions allowed (which have been applied for and approved by our board). This means that vendors may sell only what they grow / produce.

5. Every vendor must provide a Certificate of Liability insurance and be prepared to file an application for a Madison Health Department permit. Any vendor selling produce or honey must be certified to accept FMNP checks by CT DoAg.

6. If you are new to participating in Connecticut Farmers’ Markets, the Department of Agriculture has put together a very helpful guide to get you started. Please review all relevant sections of the guide before applying to make sure you are prepared: https://portal.ct.gov/-/media/DOAG/ADaRC/2021-Farmers-Market-Reference-Guide.pdf

To obtain an application, please email Market Masters Aaron Taylor (Four Root Farm) and Kim Yahara (Summer Hill Catering) at madisonctfarmersmarket@gmail.com. Please include details about your business, contact information, website, where else you sell, and any other pertinent information.

Thank you for your interest in our market!
